Q: Who's at the most risk for glaucoma?
A: Anyone can get glaucoma. However, if you're over age 60, diabetic, have high blood-pressure or have a family member with glaucoma, you are at higher risk for glaucoma than others.
Q: Is there any way to prevent glaucoma?
A: Most types of glaucoma cannot be prevented.
Q: What are the signs and symptoms of glaucoma?
A: There are usually no signs that you're developing glaucoma until vision loss occurs, which is why it's so important to have regular eye exams. Dr. DeBry can diagnose and treat glaucoma before it progresses to optic nerve damage.
Q: Is glaucoma curable?
A: No, but it is treatable to prevent further damage to the eye.
