Our LASIK Technology

LASIK has produced amazing results since its FDA approval, but with the addition of new technologies, it has gone out of this world – literally! All-Laser LASIK is now approved by NASA for its astronauts, as well as by all branches of the U.S. military for our servicemen and servicewomen – using the same technology utilized at the Wellish Vision Institute!

At Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, we implement the most advanced technology available to ensure that our patients receive the best care and get the best results possible. Our top-of-the-line technology can accommodate a broader range of candidates and produce even more amazing results.

VISX Star S4-IR Laser

This advanced laser features many exclusive features to ensure patients receive the best results possible.

    Features include:

  • WavePrint, which allows us to create a map of your entire visual path that shows minute details, so that we can treat even the tiniest irregularities that affect your vision
  • Variable Spot Scanning (VSS), which provides greater flexibility for faster and smoother treatments by producing seven treatment beams of various sizes.
  • 3D Active Track, which automatically tracks the tiny motions of the eye in three dimensions to ensure greater control and precision.
  • Iris Registration, which allows the laser to compensate for any rotation in the eye when the patient lies down, making sure that the treatment aligns with the WavePrint map and adding another level of precision

VISX CustomVue – High-Definition Vision

CustomVue offers 25 times more accuracy than standard measurements, allowing us to view your eyes’ specific irregularities and form a customized treatment plan unique to you. This allows Dr. Wellish to go beyond just treating nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Intralase

Intralase, better known as All-Laser LASIK, offers patients a level of precision not achieved by traditional LASIK. All-Laser LASIK uses a computer-controlled laser rather than a microkeratome (handheld blade) to create the flap in the first step of the LASIK procedure. Intralase offers greater safety, accuracy and predictability than tradition LASIK. It also allows for a broader range of patients, so if you were told in the past that you weren’t a candidate for LASIK, that may no longer be true.
